If you do IN= SD, it uses whatever format you have selected. If you have DNG only as your format, it will only mirror DNG. The menu is confusing for this because it mentions JPEG. What it technically should say is “DNG and/or JPEG”.

Semi related to this. I'm on the latest firmware (1.5.0.1) and I noticed that the "multi delete" feature doesn't delete the images from the SD card if the storage mode is set to "IN = SD". So just be aware that you might be in for that surprise if you use the two features together. I've reported the bug to Leica already. I'm hoping at some point to figure out how to get beta firmwares as I think this camera has tons of potential with software upgrades.

It does when deleting twice on my M11.

I was able to reproduce it multiple times on my M11 so I opened a support ticket. Please ignore my previous post until I try again. Hopefully it wasn't user error or a problem specific to my camera.
