These photos are among several I'm providing for his autobiography. He's now 92.

Very nice! I have many recordings with Richard Davis in my collection. He played on some of my favourite records ever: John Carter's Castles of Ghana and Mal Waldon's The Quest.

Thank you. I'm not familiar with The Quest, but have listened to Castles of Ghana.  I once had the pleasure of sitting in on a master class for jazz musicians directed by Davis and I will never forget the look he gave people when they missed notes or got off tempo.
