PCooley Posted July 19, 2022 Share #1 Â Posted July 19, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just bought a used SL2, appears to be in very good condition, except there is what appears to be a dead bug visible through the EVF. Â The mark does not show up in photos, nor if I take a pic of a white background out of focus at F22. Â Only in the EVF. Â There is no apparent dirt on the outside objective of the EVF. Â Is it possible to dissemble the EVF to clean it?

hoolyproductions Posted July 19, 2022 Share #6  Posted July 19, 2022 Hi. There is a thread about this from about a year ago. Mine was fine when it arrived but a big speck of dust appeared in the EVF about a week later. By the time I got it organised to send back to my dealer it had fallen out of sight. Re-appeared a bit later only to disappear again, hasn’t been an issue sense. I remember that a couple of other forum users did return their cameras to get cleaned so were presumably not so lucky
