Spent < 1 minute doing a google search. The standard answer is a variation of… "You cannot - it is a hidden setting that is only accessible by technicians". But then in 2021 "Apotelyt" posted the full sequence for the Leica SL2 at: Leica SL2: How to find the shutter count? (apotelyt.com) … it isn't easy, but it is possible. BTW be prepared for wall-to-wall advertising at the above link 😡 No idea if the above instructions work for your SL2-S. Try it and see. anon65535 Posted December 6, 2022 Share #9  Posted December 6, 2022 Hi @LeicaR10 and @AZN The links above no longer work and think I've fully exhausted internet searching. I'm super excited and just added an SL2-S (dealer demo used) + 35mm APO SL plus a Q2 to my collection today. However, unsure how to check the shutter actuations to access the service menu in either of these. I know that the Q2 uses a leaf shutter and not as worried, but would ideally to check the actuations for peace of mind. I'm in the tech industry and won't brick anything, however if I do it would be my fault  If either of you could please PM me the info, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

Am getting a bit of traffic about this. Â When I posted the info and link above, in July 2022, it was active. Apparently the site owner has since taken it down. Might it not be an idea to contact that site owner? Or use a web archive site?
6bit Posted December 30, 2022 Share #12  Posted December 30, 2022 Why can’t this technique be posted right here on the forum?
NERICSSON Posted December 30, 2022 Share #13  Posted December 30, 2022 Why would Leica(and all others) hide this information for users i the first place?

Yes, I would also like it to be posted so all can learn. To me, a PM is valuable if it only applies to a single person. Clearly, this topic has interest by more than one person, so deserves to be shared amongst all. I'm hoping those in the know will share openly here. Thanks! evikne Posted March 31, 2023 Share #20 Â Posted March 31, 2023 Just a general question: Why do manufacturers always want to keep this very useful information hidden from us customers? I don't really see any good reason for this.
