FWIW, I don't have this problem (autoISO, latest firmware), and I'm using a similar card to you: Sandisk Extreme Pro 128Gb 300Mb/s SDXC II.

I presume that 'one one thousand' stands for about one second: the time to say 'one one thousand'. In German, you say 'einundzwanzig' for the same purpose.

Hence, the camera takes about three seconds from pressing the shutter release until it's ready to fire again. I would check the self-timer first. If the exposure time was very long, then there would be the noise compensation to consider. The camera takes the same time for noise reduction that it takes for the exposure.
