Hello all!  I've been a Leica M user for many years - starting in the film days (M2, M6, M7) but using Nikon digital after selling all my Leica film gear in the early '00s.  I got back into Leica a few years ago, purchasing a used M10 and later a used M10 R Black Paint. But I have found that despite owning Leica  21mm, 28mm, 50mm, 90 mm and a 28-50 mm MATE lenses, I most often use my 28mm lens.  So it occurred to me that I'm essentially doing the majority of my photography with a heavier, non-autofocus version of a Q2!

Additionally, a few days ago, at the Bath (UK) Abbey, with my M10R, it turned out that I wanted to do a short video.  I had my iPhone but it was in my pocket when I needed the video and by the time I got it out, it was too late.  I've always said that since I carried my phone, the camera having video was of no importance.  But in this case, I was wrong! :(

So, I am now the owner of a new Q2!  Whether it becomes my primary camera, I won't know until I use it for a while.  But I'm looking forward to the learning experience!

I also got mine yesterday!  Took it out in the evening without reading much about settings or anything and surprisingly did pretty good. Today I skimmed through the manual and did some hand held macro on various flowers, small figs on the tree and a small peach. Pretty impressed.  I have been a Nikon user for many years.

Q2 has a big "problem". It is hard to justify using any other camera in that FL or close to it once you have the Q2.

Simple question about setting Q2: Where in the menu can you set the Copyright and Artist information? I went through the menu positions several time and could not find it anywhere.

Found it in this Forum: Does not work (unlike M cameras)

Went out shooting with my Q2 for the first time.  Very impressed!!!  Frankly, for what I do, it is a better tool than my M cameras.  With the M's I was occasionally dragging out my iPhone to take videos or make a close-up shot.  Now I don't have to!

I shot DNG/JPGs with the various frame lines and was very happy with the JPEG results, even at 75mm.

Really nice camera!
