Composition and tonal control work very well

Thank you Stefan. This image reminds me of a photograph taken by an American photographer. But I do not remember the photographer. I guess I was inspired by him.

It reminds me of one of Dorothea Lange's dust bowl era photos of a mother and her two children.

Beautiful image using the truck window as a natural frame. The expression on the woman's face tells a happy story.

Brent, I am glad that this image brings to mind the mother and 2 children photographed by none other than D. Lange. I think that if I have lived in that era I would have done my best to join that group of photographers. The mother smiled in a way she gave me permission to photograph her and her children.

thanks again for your comment.

fine, would have wished seeing more of the other faces. But this is no wish concert 😉

Hello Becker.

I can see your point of view. I appreciate you taking time to comment. Not wanting to justify myself, but what caught my attention was the boy leaning out of the window. He has a very «manly-adult« attitude about him.

I do think that not seeing the other members of the family completely, give importance to the young man. I tend not to have people pose and if I would have asked them to position themselves differently the children might have given me the « traditional» thumbs up.

Best.

Carl, based on the work I've seen you post here over the past several weeks, I think you'd have been a very good fit with that group
