I only did catch and release. It was quite a trek to get to this point so carrying fish back down to our camp would have been difficult. The other problem was that there had been several grizzly sightings in the area so I didn't want to smell like dinner to them. The times I have cooked fresh caught trout I've been very basic about it. Just pan fried in butter with a cast iron skillet.
