What ever they can find  usually mountain sheep eat  the following:

  • As herbivores they eat grasses, leaves, herbs, shrubs and twigs. Sheep will sometimes be seen licking salt including the salt on the road due to winter road treatment.Bighorns swallow their food, regurgitate it later, chew it up more before digesting it. The butting of horns is done for mating rights between sheep.

Doesn't that sound great!

Brent here is a close up of the Ram bedding down . I don't suppose you have any shots of a nice size Buck  alive up close that wasn't taken in a zoo😉

That's all fine, but this is the fourth time we've seen the same sky.

I love that back ground I usually have it  in at least  one of my picture when I out  in the field and not at a zoo😄

I've never been much of a wildlife photographer, Henry. When I had long lenses I used them for other kinds of photography--primarily sports. I wouldn't be able to post them here anyway, because my big glass was Nikon and Canon.

Since you asked so nicely I dug out some chromes and scanned them just for you. Here's a buck in velvet that was taken with an M6 and 90mm Elmarit.

Or, if that guy isn't big enough for you, here's one more taken with the same camera and lens.
