JuanGlassford Posted April 4, 2022 Share #1 Posted April 4, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, I just got a used 28mm Summicron lens for my M6. To my surprise, the images came out slightly blurry and without the sharpness I would of expected? I also have a 35mm Leitz Summaron, which is my control lens and is indeed sharp. Yes, I develop and scan the film, and hadn't had this problem in the past. Any suggestions? Here's an image with my 28mm: Welcome, dear visitor! jaapv Posted April 4, 2022 Share #2 Posted April 4, 2022 Clearly back focus assuming you focused on his glasses. Look at his hands. Have the lens (and possibly the whole system) adjusted by a trusted repair shop. I detect a bit of motion blur too

I think this might be a possibility indeed... I edited the negative on PS, increased sharpness, and the outcome isn't terrible. Nevertheless, probably will send the camera somewhere to get it checked out. Is this a pricy adjustment? Welcome, dear visitor! jaapv Posted April 4, 2022 Share #4 Posted April 4, 2022 It shouldn't be too bad by Leica standards. I would strongly advise you to send in the whole system, all lenses and the bodies. You will be surprised at the improvement. A reputed third-party service will be cheaper and faster than Leica, although Leica NJ is pretty good as well and on your doorstep. Our American friends will be able to advise you.
Jeff S Posted April 5, 2022 Share #5 Posted April 5, 2022 DAG Camera (Don Goldberg) will do it better, faster and less expensively than Leica NJ. Call him first to discuss service and timing. Jeff
