Hi everyone,

I just got a used 28mm Summicron lens for my M6. To my surprise, the images came out slightly blurry and without the sharpness I would of expected? I also have a 35mm Leitz Summaron, which is my control lens and is indeed sharp. Yes, I develop and scan the film, and hadn't had this problem in the past. Any suggestions?

Here's an image with my 28mm:

Clearly back focus assuming you focused on his glasses.  Look at his hands. Have the lens (and possibly the whole system) adjusted by a trusted repair shop. I detect a bit of motion blur too

@jaapv Thank you so much for the advice! I think this might be a possibility indeed... I edited the negative on PS, increased sharpness, and the outcome isn't terrible. Nevertheless, probably will send the camera somewhere to get it checked out. Is this a pricy adjustment?

It shouldn't be too bad by Leica standards. I would strongly advise you to send in the whole system, all lenses and the bodies. You will be surprised at the improvement. A reputed  third-party service will be cheaper and faster than Leica, although Leica NJ is pretty good as well and on your doorstep. Our American friends will be able to advise you.
