Advertisement Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Hi Huss, Take a look here Leica M6, M7 or MP and costs of each. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

I have a iiic and a iiif.  I haven’t used them recently because both are overdue for a service.  If there is one thing I would change it would be a bigger viewfinder (only the expensive iiig model has this). I use happily IIIg along other Leica LTM and M. The IIIg has a bit better viewfinder than previous screwmount Leica. But about 1:2 ( IIIg VF to be verified, after my "feeling" ) magnification, not as good as aux VF SBOOI 1:1 so lifesize. I use SBOOI that I own many on every camera when I can with 50mm lens, nothing as fun and so nice.  Welcome, dear visitor! For those of us who regularly wrestle with low-light film photography, it is worth noting that the M6 Classic's light meter is factually inferior to that of the M6TTL, M7 and MP. Leica M6 meter sensitivity: At room temperature, normal humidity and aperture 1.0, the metering range stretches from 0.125 to 125000cd/m2. At ISO 100/21°, this corresponds to EV0 to 20 or f/1.0 and 1s to f/32 and 1/1000s. Leica M6TTL, M7 and MP meter sensitivity: At room temperature, normal humidity and aperture 1.0, the metering range stretches from 0.03 to 125000cd/m2. At ISO 100/21°, this corresponds to EV-2 to 20 or f/1.0 and 4s to f/32 and 1/1000s.
andrew01 Posted April 6, 2022 Share #44 Â Posted April 6, 2022 I agree that the M6TTL meter interface is a bit nicer due to the central dot, but I have no complaints about the M6 classic meter display. Â The arrows also vary in intensity so it is easy to dial it in with a high degree of precision. Â If exposure is half a stop out one of the Led arrows will be significantly brighter than the other. Simply adjust the aperture so both arrows are the same brightness. For a truly horrific manual metering experience, try a Contax S2!
Capuccino-Muffin Posted April 7, 2022 Share #45  Posted April 7, 2022 One of the major upgrades of the MP over the M6 was the whole light meter redesign and electronic/electric components. Over time, the M6 will start failing more and more. The MP is more bukketproof in that regard. The MP is more than just a cosmetic redesign. Who was there when the MP was launched, knows.
