I'd say an M11 user who gets offended when someone criticizes the M11 is overly sensitive.  Non-owners have very right to be critical because they may be contemplating the M11 as a purchase.  And weighing that against what they now have, Leica or not, and against their skill set.  It's just the same as criticizing a new auto model.  Or, as my uncle used to say, "We can't all love the same woman."  I have a few of these machines and I really do not care what you, the next person or anyone else thinks about it.  I bought them for myself, not anyone else.  They need only please me.  And they do.  There are just too many whiners around.  It is an imperfect world abounding with people.

Leica product releases are always interesting.

First world problems. Lol

"My other car is a Noctilux" lol

Clearly. Perhaps you’d feel more comfortable and you could preserve your moral superiority by visiting Sony, Canon, Pentax or Nikon websites/forums instead of sullying yourself here.

Just for the record, I love the M11.  I won't be buying one anytime soon (I'm very happy with my M10-P), but I think it's a solid evolution for the M.  I think the additional features are very useful, and yet it is still very much an M.

Bashing and flaming are part of what makes online forums and social media addictive. They're essential for keeping activity up, so mods don't have much reason to manage online communities in a way that significantly reduces it, save for the most destructive and harmful situations (and oftentimes not even then).

I'm a geriatric Millenial, and I am extremely jaded about online communities. I've read about some special cases where being involved was generally healthy for its participants, but I have yet to be part of any.

Thing is, I don’t give a rat’s behind about what a condescending jacka** who doesn’t use or hasn’t used an M11 thinks about the M11 or me. It’s a waste of my time. I’d suggest that the troll engage in a more productive endeavor. Like going back to photographing their pet cat.

Ahh yes. There is nothing like constructive debate is there? Your post is bordering on the offensive. If you look carefully enough at the M11 'bashing' as you call it, you might find that there is actually a lot of technical debate hidden away and often suppressed by those who don't want to hear it. If you like the M11 that is fine  and you are absolutely entitled to do so, but don't moan at those who wish to utilise their 'freedom of speech' to raise concerns which could eventually affect us all. Suggesting M11 detractors are trolls will not win you many supporters on this forum. I repeat (I have to do so ad nauseum it appears) that history has a way of repeating itself. Messing with the M has never ended well in the past, but of course there are those who, as ever, think that it needs modification.
