lmans Posted March 17, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a local camera store offering a used Q for $3000. Comes with the battery, charger, strap....they rate it as 'good' but I don't see anything on the exterior wrong with it, but haven't looked for dust inside. But it also comes with a thumb grip, which I find useful. It doesn't come with any original boxing etc so that always has me a bit worried on an expensive camera if someone hasn't kept the box. I know, it sounds odd...but if you keep the box, chances are you take care of your gear. So...$3000 too much? I know the CL's with a 18mm kit lens can be had used for $2500-3000 as I look at various Leica Stores. I have no idea on shutter count of Q.... I suppose I can take a shot and see what it might say, if that is adequate. jim Edited March 17, 2022 by lmans
Advertisement Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Hi lmans, Take a look here Used Q price Target. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Craig Clark Posted March 17, 2022 Share #2 Posted March 17, 2022 Leica Miami currently has one that one for $3595 that has had the CLA recently and comes with a 1 year leica warranty....It doesnt say but I would imagine it comes with the box etc. I typically use them for a benchmark on used stuff...but for $500 extra, i would purchase from them instead of the other camera store. Alan Friedman Posted March 17, 2022 Share #3 Posted March 17, 2022 Good advice above, especially in consideration of the problems reported with the Q EVF and the cost of repairing it.

Other than that, I recommend the $3000 price strongly!

Unless the EVF has been replaced, you need to factor in that possibility. Even one-year warranty may not cover an EVF change. lmans Posted March 23, 2022 Author Share #7 Posted March 23, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) US dollars.... the way you are talking, it is best to avoid a Q all-told.... why. take the chance on a used Q if the EVF is known for issues and this one might have one upcoming..... wda Posted March 23, 2022 Share #8 Posted March 23, 2022 (edited) It is easy to check if the camera has been fitted with a replacement EVF. If it has, no problem. If it hasn't, only buy from a Leica dealer who offers you a good warranty. Simple. Otherwise, the Q is an excellent camera. It is a delight to use, especially in manual focusing mode.
