Rona!d Posted September 9, 2007 Share #22 Posted September 9, 2007 Don´t know what they exactely did, but the results are so pleasing, that it was worth every penny, Andy. This lens will be on the list of forbidden tools for the Berlin One Challenge!
earleygallery Posted September 9, 2007 Share #23 Posted September 9, 2007 I can imagine the conversation........"you serviced this lens and the photos are blurry"......"well sir, you can't expect too much from an old lens you know!" Quite shocking really that Leica could allow that to happen.
spydrxx Posted September 10, 2007 Share #24 Posted September 10, 2007 Wow - I'm sure the Bokeh lovers will want to buy that lens from you at any price! In all seriousness, this is inexcusable. I gave up on Leica's servicing years ago when they took 6 months to fix a lightmeter. Since that time I've relied on reliable independent repairpersons. Also, since then I've only purchased used gear,so the Leica warranty is meaningless to me. Guess the DMR and M8 are not on my agenda for a while, if ever. guywalder Posted September 10, 2007 Share #25 Posted September 10, 2007 I have just paid Leica UK over £100 to service my 54 Summaron. It came back on Friday, and I took it for a trip across a Lakeland fell yesterday. Today, the girl in the processing shop said "I'm afraid your shots are a bit blurry" (Technical term, that, "blurry".) hmm, if that is 'a bit blurry' I would hate to see 'very blurry'!!
