I have the opportunity to buy a ZEISS Biogon T* 2/35 ZM at a good price, problem is I won’t have the chance to try it on camera (CL), as I it will have to be posted to me. It looks like the focus barrel protrudes from the mount at the back and I’m worried it won’t be suitable to use on the CL. I have the Leica m adaptor but worry it’s not deep enough. Any help appreciated.

I have had several copies of the 35 ZM.. used on my TL2 and CL.. always colorful and sharp.  I am quite sure the f2.0 is just as good.

I don't think the protrusion from theback of the lens will have an issue, you have 10mm or so from the front of the M to L adapter to the body area behind the mount inside the CL. My 25mm Canon LTM lens fits fine and most of the lens is behind the mount. The collapsible 50 Summicron will fit collapsed on a CL. Like Rick there is no problem with the Ziess 35 f2.8 on the CL it has a rear portion of the lens behind the mount.
