carylwithay Posted September 8, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted September 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) M8 and noctilux. This is my favorite from our very recent trip to Alaska. We left from San Francisco. This is the Fishermans Wharf marina with the Golden Gate Bridge in the foggy background. Please critique since I am entering this in a contest for a free cruise. Laki Posted September 9, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted September 9, 2007 i like the soft colours, if that wall in front wouldnt be there i would like it even more i know you cant go and remove it though could it be that the horizon its a bit tilted? carylwithay Posted September 9, 2007 Author Share #3 Â Posted September 9, 2007 Thank you for your comment. I do not think the horizon is tilted. The fog does not follow the horizon. The buildings and bridge towers appears straight to me. Caryl
Laki Posted September 9, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted September 9, 2007 i guess you're right, i must have been fooled by the fog
elansprint72 Posted September 9, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted September 9, 2007 I too hought at first glance that there was a slight tilt; on closer inspection it looks like a combination of the angles of the components. However, as this is going into a comp, it might be worth trying a small rotation, because I guess that it may get chucked out if the judges are just flicking through the entries as a first sort. It is a very nice image, good luck.
carylwithay Posted September 9, 2007 Author Share #6 Â Posted September 9, 2007 Good idea, Pete. I shall give it a try and see what happens. I am still working up the group I just took in Alaska and may change the entry if there is a question about the tilt. It is a contest by the cruise company for a free cruise.
