Cecilia Posted February 11, 2022 Share #1 Posted February 11, 2022 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I only found a German thread using the search function. Exciting news for the color enthusiasts out here! Adox has released a limited supply of a new 200 ASA color film. It's called Adox Color Mission. It's only available through Foto impex (worldwide shipping). The first batch was sold out in just a couple of hours, but you can still pre-order. There's still enough available, but Adox cuts and spools the film in batches. They expect to ship the next batch in 7-10 days. This supply of color mission is a sort of 'test batch'. Profits made by selling this 'test batch' will be used solely to help fund the continued development of new film. For more info check out their website or instagram. There's also lots of talk about this new film on Reddit, so be sure to check that out too! Anyways, I'm very excited. Especially since until recently it seemed Kodak might become a monopoly on producing color film. Unfortunately I didn't manage to order me some at the first pre-order, but I expect my order to be shipped with the next batch. Has anyone managed to order some the first round? I'm eager to see some results. I will make sure to share some as soon as possible. Edited February 11, 2022 by Cecilia 4

My max cut off is £5 / roll and that solidly limits me to Kentmere or Fomapan B&W.

I hardly use any colour film at all, but if I did I'd need a few rolls to show Adox the market is there. Ferrania tried to reintroduce colour with a Kickstarter scheme but so far it has failed, maybe Adox are working more smartly?
Charles Morgan Posted February 13, 2022 Share #6 Posted February 13, 2022 I think Adox are great, I hope one day they'll introduce a 400ISO black and white film, and while I rarely buy any colour film at all, I'll make an exception for them.
oldwino Posted February 13, 2022 Share #7 Posted February 13, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I looked at ordering some rolls of this film. Fotoimpex is claiming a 16 euro surcharge for DHL air shipments to the USA, and a 4-6 week delivery time. Almost 38 euros shipping for 5 rolls. That doesn’t make sense to me. I’ve had several items delivered from Japan with DHL recently, for a normal price for such a service, and 4 day delivery time. No “Covid air traffic impact fee”.

armadsen Posted February 14, 2022 Share #9 Posted February 14, 2022 I'm very interested in getting some of this film, but right now it doesn't seem like there's a reasonable way to order it in the US. I'm hoping they'll sort out a US distributor, or at least figure out how to ship it without exorbitant shipping fees.
Sparkassenkunde Posted February 14, 2022 Share #10 Posted February 14, 2022 Don't want to spoil the party, but on Saturday I walked into the Fotoimpex store in Berlin and bought two rolls. First roll is almost fully exposed, I will post some examples in a couple of days 4 2

Hopefully they'll start distributing in the US soon. Maybe once their new film has proofed itself popular enough.
