This is a carrier at the market

His job is to displace heavy loads of produce from the arriving trucks to the seller’s kiosk

It took two (struggling) men to lift this load of cabbages onto the carrier’s back.

When I saw the image on the ground glass of the camera, the sculpture of

ATLAS SUPPORTING THE WORLD came to mind.

M10 Monochrome 75 Apo Summicron

(great lens. a challenge to focus wide open on people in movement. The man's face could have been sharper. Ah. Je joy of manual focus and rangefinder)

Superb image, sad situation.

Thank you Brent. Sad indeed. But not as tragic as it may seem. The market is like a family to these men and women carrier. They help each other and seem to have very fraternal relationships. Many in this Country and in many parts of the World are men and women who struggle to make a living. If you have a moment check out a short film I made on peope working hard. Title Day In. Day out on UTube. Have a nice day.
