bherman01545 Posted January 26, 2022 Share #1 Â Posted January 26, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello; I own an SL2-S and have a combination of M and SL lenses. I'm looking for a 90mm lens, and don't necessarily was to cough up $5k on an SL 90. Has anyone used this lens on their SL, SL2, SL2-S with the M to L adapter and if so, what can you say about your results and the shooting experience? Thanks! -Brad

Chuck Albertson Posted January 26, 2022 Share #3  Posted January 26, 2022 It does fine on the SL (below at about f/4). But I still swapped it towards a 90SL, which is better.  Welcome, dear visitor! Anakronox Posted January 26, 2022 Share #4  Posted January 26, 2022 I can’t compare the 90 M APO directly to the SL APO as I only own the M.  However, it is still an excellent lens on my SL2.  If I’m shooting it with the SL 50 or 35 Summicrons I do need to increase the contrast in post to match, but otherwise have no complaints.
robb Posted January 26, 2022 Share #5  Posted January 26, 2022 Excellent lens on my sl2 or sl2-s VERY easy to focus. probably not quite as sharp as the SL primes but it is half the cost of those used… I am using it as a lighter weight and smaller diameter alternative when you need to travel with less weight.  55 vs 67 filter. portraits look great with my m 90 apo. There is also the Sigma 105mm F/2.8 DG DN Macro, which can do double-duty as a portrait and Macro lens, but haven't factored Sigma into the mix. Perhaps I should? Perhaps I should? The 105 is another good option from Sigma. It’s definitely bigger and heavier than the 90/2.8 but no heavier than the APO SL prime.
