Crem Posted January 14, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 14, 2022 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) DP Review says... Quote Another small niggle is the M11's shutter sound. Several Leica M10 variants featured a redesigned, notably quiet shutter mechanism which I had assumed would be adopted in the M11. Not so. The M11's shutter sounds to my ear exactly like a stock M10. Anyone care to confirm? The shutter on my M10R is extremely quiet. As silly as it sounds, I'm hoping someone posts some YouTube videos of the two cameras side side making some noise. A good old fashioned shutter showdown. 😄 Edited January 14, 2022 by Crem
Advertisement Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Hi Crem, Take a look here Can I hear that shutter?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
elmars Posted January 14, 2022 Share #2 Posted January 14, 2022 The shutter is as silent as the ones of the M10P and M10R.

LocalHero1953 Posted January 14, 2022 Share #5 Posted January 14, 2022 So, not exactly a 'snick', but not intolerable either. Perhaps like a very damped M9, without the vibrations!
anickpick Posted January 14, 2022 Share #6 Posted January 14, 2022 is the "oooooh" part of the shutter sound?
BJohn Posted January 14, 2022 Share #7 Posted January 14, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) https://youtu.be/-z_oO4vWATc?t=35 Here you can hear the M11 - it actually sounds like an M10P with LV on, although you can hear it's slightly faster. I compared it with my M10R - but maybe that's just imagination, but a few reviewers already pointed out that Leica may improved the shutter from the M10P a bit (made it faster for obvious reasons).
