norbertnl Posted October 11, 2007 Share #21 Posted October 11, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I do wish I could get the titanium Leica logo instead of the red. Hi, I assume that when you call the Leica CS at Solms and kindly ask them, they will send you one of those. Best, Norbert
Advertisement Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Hi norbertnl, Take a look here Trade my Chrome M8 for a Black M8?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jack MacDonough Posted October 11, 2007 Share #22 Posted October 11, 2007 If you are in a country with edgy places, you and any of your cameras will attract notice. Buy the guide. In USA a camera store was robbed and they took everything but the Leica, which looked old and unsalable. LOL In Japan, some people assumed it was a old film camera. Only one person knew what it really was, but then he was with an M8 also. BTW mine is chrome, his was black.
dspeltz Posted October 11, 2007 Share #23 Posted October 11, 2007 Buy a black and for the heck of it recover your M8 in red or green or blue. It will attract attention that will then permit you to make new friends and photograph them!! Welcome, dear visitor! Bill Sievers Posted October 12, 2007 Share #24 Posted October 12, 2007 The problem is the noise not the color.

fotografr Posted October 12, 2007 Share #26 Posted October 12, 2007 I have the chrome M8 and use it for street shooting. The only people who seem to notice the camera are professionals, especially the younger ones, who come up and ask about it and lenses. Others, when commenting, assume I am using an older camera, and that's fine with me. Steve The same thing happens to me frequently with my black M8. Just yesterday I was shooting a large event and somebody came up to me and said it was nice to see someone still shooting with film. He was really surprised when I showed him the back of the camera. And to me in Jaipur last weekend. I had to show them the back to convince them I wasn't shooting film.
