A Q50 would be the only Leica attractive for me , actually I’ve sold everything

Really? Would you wait for model 50? We are at model 2. Assuming one number for 4.5 years that would mean 48 cameras iterations to wait for. This would be some 120 year. By then I am . . . something else.

Of course Q 50mm

No worry. All clear. But I do not think that this will happen. A 28mm paired with a 60 MPix sensor is ideal for towns, travel, architecture, landscape and probably others. A 50mm is already quite narrow fov. when croped to 1.3 it would result in 65mm fov and with 1.8 its giving you a  90mm fov. The 1.3 and 1.8 is the factor that the actual Q has  implementd today as has the M11. With 50mm as base for many cases that is too long. Well, that is my view.

A 50mm Q would be perfect to crop to 75 and 90mm.

50mm and 90mm are my most used focal lenghts.

I don’t want a 28mm I want a 50mm to crop 75 … 90 For town travel landscape and certainly others

for street photography my fav lens was the 135 apo telyt

where is it written that for landscape you need a wide angle ?

I'd love that, and it would suit me better for the macro function I use a lot

So we need a Q3 with either a 24, 28, 35, 40 or 50mm lens, each of which will appeal to a different segment of camera enthusiasts. I do wonder why manufacturers don't use forums like this to poll options such as focal length and flip out screen mechanisms. Sample size might be small but if there is a clear majority it could still be conclusive.

A camera manufacturer would gain huge credibility from polling it's customer base.

They did, a few months ago

The q3 will have a massive Leica tax on it, the auto focus will still be slow and "OFF" the tracking useless, metering system will have the same problems as the q2, with random exposures total wrong! but when it all comes together the images will blow you away. The price will be £7000+

Leica need to up there game for the eye watering prices they charge, go and pick up a Nikon d5 and see how focusing and subject tracking should work, why can a q2 not do this i ask? reason is they will not spend money on sorting out the problem but expect the "leica nurds" to pay a over inflated price for owning the badge!!

I suggest switching to another brand like Nikon and leave Leica to the likes of us misguided “steam punk idiots”.

Thanks for that!

You like paying top dollar for a product that is not as good as it should be for the price you pay!

I think the Leica medication is very strong with a lot of people and due to that the company dont fix the problems because customers think it is fine to have a function on a top end product which is poor!!  An  I phone  13 will focus better than a Q2!!

Then go use one! If you want to troll this forum you will have to be a bit more original and creative than you have been so far.

This place is to express your views be them good or bad about a product just because you may think it is ok others don't! the q2 has major focus problems with moving subjects as most of is know! maybe it will get fixed with a new model Q3??

Is there some kind of Leica drug that i dont know about?

Yes, you can express your opinion here, but if you can only respond to a different opinion by being offensive, then you must expect to be treated as a troll. A rich troll too, since you already own a Q2, Nikon D5 and iphone 13.

I got a Sony A7R3 the quality of the pictures is amazing, but it is the worst camera I have ever had
It's a very good camera for an airplane pilot, but not for a photographer
