Ktsa5239 Posted January 13, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 13, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) ok I now this was a divisive topic when the M10R came out where some people said theres absolutely no different but some people said everything is blurred unless you go 1/250 or faster shutter. From my experience of the M10R, while there seems to be a different as I need to shot with more care and perhaps one stop faster to make sure theres no blur (at pixel level) I could handheld consistently shooting sharp images on 35mm at 1/60. So the big question for me is, does the 60MP M11 requires me to use even faster shutter speeds?

Camaro5 Posted January 14, 2022 Share #2 Posted January 14, 2022 I was able to get a hands-on with the M11 today. Our rep was at the Leica Boutique here at the only camera shop left in Las Vegas. It's basically a corner of the store set up for Leica. I took some shots with the M11 and a 35mm Summilux and thought it was nice, but at ISO 64 indoors I could only go to 1/60th of a second at f/1.4 before I got some motion blur. I shot on my own SD card and was able to look at the images on my own computer. I didn't get much time with it and in fairness I'm sure the images would have been better at a little higher ISO and a faster shutter speed. Like anything, you need some time with it to really maximize its capabilities. It has some nice features that I like. The OVF seemed brighter than my M10 and I like the internal memory. Also ISO 64 would be great in the right situation. I would really consider an M11 then next time I buy a new camera, but that's probably down the road a little bit right now.
