How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Files” and s

Just tried this again with the new settings that are allowed for upload. I had stripes in the sky before.

Sorry, this is just an upload test.

==> GREAT: NO STRIPES ANYMORE IN THE SKY. TEST SUCCESSFUL.

If you have a Flickr account (or other), using the link for that account to the file works the best. And you can then add more pics to your post than uploading something less than 2.4 megs. The downside to doing that is that you don't have a record in your account of what was posted - so can get a little confusing about what has already been posted. Good to know that there are some new upload settings though...

Great shot. 

The main thing I’m going to miss getting rid of the M11 is contributing to these image threads.  Looking through them is what keeps me here - some absolute gems.  Maybe I’ll send the odd one to the Q thread in the future….
