How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Files” and s

Took the M11 and the 1.4/35 to Haridwar. Here I was at Har ki Pauri with 3 minutes left for the evening aarti to begin. I knew there would be a crowd. But it was noisy as well. The people by themselves were pretty shaant, it was the crowd managers with their whistles making a din.

6 minutes into the aarti and the crowd joined in. Then it was all over, probably 10-15 mins from start to finish. Haven't yet wrapped my head around all that was going on.

Learning the new camera (day 1) - definitely more difficult to shoot than any other camera I have ever owned (if I want good results), not a casual tool, requires full attention and dedication (more ways to compromise IQ, e.g. more sensitive to slow shutter speed, as predicted, not as forgiving as M10 ...).

My excuse is this place looks like a model railway station but scaled up to full size...... and to make it worse, the clouds appeared to make even the sky look false.

Looks like a railway preservation society station, lovely shot, & is that a Norman 'Motte & baily' mound in the distance?

Hi, I believe it is Motte and Baily, it is Corfe Castle.  (Just to make sure reality returned, the sun disappeared when the train arrived and the heat from the funnel distorted the Castle in the background).
