Hi, wanted to ask the other M10-R BP owners what hot shoe cover they got with the camera. My M10-M came with a very good quality metal cover, the M10-R BP came with a cheap plastic cover.
Has no influence on the image quality :), but I wonder if this should be so.

best regards

Wolfram

The cover on my 10R BP is genuine plastic; seems to work just fine as a cover.  I lost the hot shoe cover for my M10 shortly after buying it but I didn't really care.  If it was a high-dollar METAL cover, I would have been upset.  Losing a plastic cover didn't even show up on my "concern" radar.

I remove it anyway/leave it off in case I want to use the EVF or a flash.  Futzing with the cover is more effort than a lazy guy like me cares to deal with so I immediately remove it upon receiving the camera.

The hot shoe cover of my M10-R Black Paint was plastic, I quickly replaced it with Match Technical Thumbs Up grip in black paint.
I did find, after a thorough search, replacement metal hot shoe covers from Italy on the Bay.
