grahamc Posted December 10, 2021 Share #1  Posted December 10, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Everyone As usual I am singing the praises of the 40mm Rokkor to a friend, who is interested to obtain a copy and file the flange to bring up 35mm framelines instead of the 50mm fraemlines it usually brings up on m bodies. I have not filed mine because I also use CLE and want it to continue to bring correct framelines with CLE...  Does anyone have a filed copy that they could post photos of so I can show my friend what he needs to do and where ?  Thanks in advance
Advertisement Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 Hi grahamc, Take a look here Modified (Filed) 40mm M-Rokkor - example?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaques Posted December 10, 2021 Share #2 Â Posted December 10, 2021 (edited) I've done this to a few- but i am not at home currently. but this is what I followed when I did it: Â https://www.photo.net/discuss/threads/how-to-modify-a-40mm-summicron-c-with-photos.195468/ Â note the comment below the original post: Â "You have taken off way more metal than needs to be removed. You don't need to take off a big corner of metal - just a few strokes with a small needle file on the shoulder of the flange will do the job. 250swb Posted December 10, 2021 Share #3 Â Posted December 10, 2021 I've done it with a 40mm CV lens and only a tiny amount of metal needs to be removed. 1
grahamc Posted December 11, 2021 Author Share #4  Posted December 11, 2021 Thanks @jacques, thanks @250swb I will pass this on.  I’m hoping to find a cheap second copy at some point also and have one for my M’s without changing my CLE  copy
