My take on the elevator. Of which at first I did not 'read' the sign.

Dear Leica friends,

First of all I want to say it was great meeting all of you, I had a very nice time. A big thanks to Pieter for the organisation!

Last sunday I finally found some time to start developping film from the Antwerp weekend, so here are the first few images.

Good stuff Martijn, you used your "free time" saturday evening better than we ;), I hope to see more from you, I think I can learn a lot from you how to compose with Wide Angles, your 21 mm shots are all very nice.

I'm also happy with my film results, they came out better than expected since I didn't shoot film for over a year, last time before this meeting was the Tilburg Leica meeting last year. I really should use my M2 more often, the camera is such a joy to use and after a CLA at Will van Maanen it's as good as new.

Here's a 50 mm version of the University Arcade (to contrast with your 21 mm version)

PS thought there was some mud behind the statue, a track made by all the males that run errants at night in the Beginage (as the sign in a picture by Satijntje warned about)

Monochrom + PS 'fill with colur' AI neural effect. (M9M, Canon F1.4).

Amazing what AI can do, it's not perfect but it looks more realistic than the earlier one you posted. But if I want a colour photo I'll just take it with a camera with a colour sensor 😁

Here is my contribution of the picture the university arcade, cropped in 16:9 aspect ratio with application of a dramatic filter. Due to time constraints, I will post a few more photos from the first day in the thread over the next week.

If allowed, I may lastly post one or two photos that were apparently on the route of the first day and which I took on the morning (to finish the roll) before I went to bring my films to Grobet for development and scanning because the shop was not yet open.

Thanks @pegelli, I think 21mm is a very nice and versatile focal lenght. It also forces me to be more aware of composition. Always a voice in my head warning about to much uninteresting empty space in the foreground. It keeps challenging me and I feel I am still a long way from mastering it.

You're university arcade shot came out really nice! I did not like mine that much. @rjans's version is very nice as well.

I hope to process the rest of the b&w film coming weekend, I just received some fresh darkroom supplies 😊

This is (for the time being) my last photo from the meeting in this thread

The Courthouse (Palais de Justice / Justitiepaleis) that Stephan and I visited sunday afternoon. The nickname is Vlinderpaleis (Butterfly palace), probably inspired by the special roof decorations.
