filmboy Posted September 5, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 5, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anybody know if there's a resource on the net where you can easily look up lenses for the M8 and the frame lines that they bring up in the viewfinder? I'm trying to decide on what len(es) to buy for my new M8, and it seems like I spend a lot of time trawling different sites for different bits of information. Advertisement Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Hi filmboy, Take a look here M8 lenses / framelines information. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
earleygallery Posted September 5, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 5, 2007 Try the Leica website - you can download specs, brochures etc. Frames are 24/35, 28/90 & 50/
filmboy Posted September 5, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted September 5, 2007 Thanks James, but I was thinking more about the "cheaper" options - Zeiss & Voigtlander. If I wanted to know what lines the 40mm Nokton brings up, I'm currently trawling this forum until I find where somebody has posted them - I was hoping that somebody had collated this information (saving me the trouble!) It brings up the 50/75 frame lines in the viewfinder....' ................. Chris
Skippy Sanchez Posted September 5, 2007 Share #5 Posted September 5, 2007 you can modify the lens by filing the flange that brings up the 35mm frameline rather than the 50. 35 is much more accurate, particularly at 6+ feet.

For the Voigts, Cameraquest site gives the info for all the lenses; don't know if you can find the info about ZM in a single source
