smitty's Posted November 25, 2021 Share #1 Â Posted November 25, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi All, Â Â I have been informed that it is not possible to attach a filter to the Summilux 50 Asph and use the built in hood. Is this true? One of my cameras is a M8.2 and requires the use of a IR filter. Thanks, Steve
Advertisement Posted November 25, 2021 Posted November 25, 2021 Hi smitty's, Take a look here Summilux 50 Asph. Lens Filter. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
UliWer Posted November 25, 2021 Share #2  Posted November 25, 2021 No, not true. Usual filters fit the lens as they are supposed to do.
evikne Posted November 25, 2021 Share #3  Posted November 25, 2021 You are probably confusing with the Black Chrome version. With the standard version there is no problem.
smitty's Posted November 25, 2021 Author Share #4 Â Posted November 25, 2021 Standard version? Would that be the silver chrome version? Is there a black asph. with built in hood that takes a filter?
Loop Skywalker Posted November 25, 2021 Share #5 Â Posted November 25, 2021 (edited) Regular version with built-in lens hood is available in black anodized or silver chrome finish. The "limited" version is black chrome and takes E43 filters (instead of E46), but if you use a filter on this one, you cannot attach the clip-on lens hood. No problems with filters on the regular version! Edited November 25, 2021 by Loop Skywalker
