huwm Posted November 15, 2021 Share #1 Posted November 15, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well Luminar specifically. I downloaded it recently to try and shrug off my luddite tendancies having had it recommended by a number of people. I normally try to get my shots right when I take them tbh, use only Mac photos and Raw Power to tweak very minor hiccups and if that fails bin them. Wondering if I could 'save' or 'improve' some of these I gave the trial ago. Very unnatural and unpleasant using their templates tbh. For me that was a serious fail, I wanted a quick fix without loads of messing around, which I can do already but can't be bothered. Maybe they're just aiming at iPad iPhone folks and not intended to be seen on a 32inch screen?
Advertisement Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Hi huwm, Take a look here AI. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
AndreasG Posted November 15, 2021 Share #2 Posted November 15, 2021 Why don't you show us an example before/after applying the Luminar AI? Also, which version, which templates? As with any other PP software, there is no need for AI, everything can be corrected manually with the sliders etc., but that takes time for the learning curve, there is no quick fix. huwm Posted November 15, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted November 15, 2021 I was using latest trial. I was just hoping for a quick fix but as you point out that's at the end of the rainbow. I will continue trying to get things 'right' or very close to at point of capture it feels purer and makes me look/see properly too.
jaapv Posted November 15, 2021 Share #4 Posted November 15, 2021 No way to fight it. The trend is towards AI. Photoshop also has AI bits now. Automatic masking and Neural Filters.
