The engine was stationary on a curved siding behind the engineer.  Many of the engines in the yard are operated with workers on the ground with remote controls which I thought was cool...  They were assembling a 160 car train that day.  The engines use far less diesel than typical truck transport so I thought that was also a cool fact about moving high volumes of cargo across the globe.  Using electronic shutter for most of my exterior images.

I often check out the Webcam that the City of Flagstaff has on the Amtrak station there - you can see those massive freight trains on the move 24 hours a day, as it's one of BN's main East-West lines.

End of my shoot day.  Light was beautiful.  The day before and after were socked in with clouds - so good karma then...

Nice image showing some of my portraits shot chest and waist high to be blown up to 8' faces inside a mobile training center for workers.  These were shot with the SL2 and 75 apo.  You can definitely count individual eyelashes from 6" away looking closely at the prints.  I was amazed at the detail from the apo lenses.  These portraits were shown earlier in this thread as individual photos.  The new 21 is a great lens.  Great matching color to the other apo's and very sharp even wide open.

I got my Q-P back.  I had given it to my son but he does not really get it out for any real use.  He’s more of an iPhone gen z…

so I traded him one of my rifle scopes to get it back.

I’m looking forward to pairing this up with my sl2-s and a lens or two when I want to travel light.  Not sure if I might upgrade it to a Q2 or Q3 yet or not.  I wish it had the same batteries as the Q2…

anyway.  It’s very small and lightweight compared to the other cameras I own and what’s out there.  I love the viewfinder in monochrom mode.  Just like my sl2 and sl2-s cameras.  Fun camera for sure.

Robb
