Very good buy IMO indeed - and already tested if it works. Both M240 and Lightroom do recognize it as the correct type of lens Thanks - it was an extra splurge buying a TT version and in such great condition, but in a decade or so, I expect to pass it on to my nephew, although i will take set out once in a while to keep the gears moving ...he-he The biggest trouble now is that led me to think into acquiring either a modern or older version of the same
Ccoppola82 Posted November 7, 2021 Share #24 Posted November 7, 2021 I have both, love both….but if I have my choice it’s a 50 pre asph. Probably my favorite lens I’ve ever owned. You will enjoy it. I had DAG take a look at mine and it’s perfect. I inquired about having it coded but he said it won’t make a bit of difference with a 50, so I didn’t. evikne Posted November 7, 2021 Share #25 Posted November 7, 2021 I've just got my 50mm Summilux pre-ASPH back from service and took some quick test shots. And WOW! Not only is the flare gone, but also the focus shift! I didn't know that was possible. All my test images at both f/1.4, f/2.0 and f/2.8 were in focus! Before I sent in the lens, it clearly back focused when stopped down to f/2.8 at short distances. My favorite lens has become even better!
