Three-exposure pano to copy a Nov. 10, 1868, map I encountered during research at the National Archives. On it the U.S. Comm’r of Indian Affairs had marked the tracts of land "ceded to the U.S." by the Chippewas under Treaties of 1854 & 1855. I bring my M10-R and Summilux-M 50mm with me on research days because the Penn Quarter/Penn Ave area is great for street photography. The research room at NARA has a pretty decent copy stand with LED lights, but to get large documents covered I have to take them in sections. Since the camera is so high up on the copy stand, I use the FOTOS app to confirm focus and trip the shutter. Just a slight loss of focus in the lower third but otherwise I was happy with how this turned out for research purposes. lincoln_m Posted August 16, 2024 Share #104 Posted August 16, 2024 5 shot pano looking west from Dyrhólaey Lighthouse, Southern Iceland. M10 with 35 Summilux Asph FLE, handheld swivelling my head/shoulders no tripod. I try and manually set the ISO, shutter speed and aperture (obviously) so that each shot has the same exposure to aid Lightroom Photo Merge (cylindrical, warp edges). But sometimes I get dark bands at the stitching overlay (from vignetting perhaps?). I think I should use Daylight white balance in future instead of Auto WB as the AWB might be adjusting the colours as I swing from bright to darker parts of the panoramic. Welcome, dear visitor!
