fivehundred Posted September 25, 2021 Share #1 Posted September 25, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) How good is the Q2 for macro photography? For a newborn, would it be good for detailed photos such as hands, feet etc?

I did take a look but wanted to hear what people think. From what I've seen I'm not impressed. Most photos appear to be out of focus, not sharp and possibly results of just cropping (rather than true macro) 😐 But then again I can't say I expected much from a 27mm FL. Leica28 Posted September 26, 2021 Share #5 Posted September 26, 2021 Well then if you are unimpressed with the photos posted here, rent a Q2 and see if you can do better. 1
acg69 Posted September 26, 2021 Share #6 Posted September 26, 2021 The Q/Q2 is certainly capable of great macro photography by virtue of its great lens, with or without the ELPRO macro lens. There are tons of images in here that are tack sharp. Of course the 28 is not the best for taking pictures of insects for example, but for more static objects, it works. Then it's up to the photographer.
