Adrianctc Posted September 18, 2021 Share #1  Posted September 18, 2021 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all, I would like to know if anyone is having the the same issue as me. I tested out the Noct 0.95 on my new SL2s today and when I set it to F0.95 and took a photo, it is recorded as F1.4 in lightroom. I notice the same problem with all my leica lens. Is this normal? Does anyone have a work around? Note: I am using Leica M-L adapter. Cheers Adrian Edited September 18, 2021 by Adrianctc

jaapv Posted September 18, 2021 Share #2 Â Posted September 18, 2021 There is no aperture coupling between the lens and the camera. Your SL2 is just guessing b
V23 Posted September 19, 2021 Share #3  Posted September 19, 2021 In addition to jaapv’s comment retest your lenses making sure that you focus to infinity, as soon as your focus closer your f 0.95 is no longer 0.95, that’s the physics of it.

pop Posted September 19, 2021 Share #5 Â Posted September 19, 2021 vor 40 Minuten schrieb frame-it: does that actually happen with M lenses with zero electronics ? No electricity involved. The aperture value of any lens is the distance from the image plane divided by the diameter of the lens. As the Noctilux can not extend the lens by 40% (that would make it a macro lens), you can safely ignore this effect in this case.
RoySmith Posted September 20, 2021 Share #6  Posted September 20, 2021 When I was writing an AppleScript to add lens info to the EXIF data of batches of files I found I could not set the f-stop to 0.95 I communicated with Phil Harvey the author of EXIFTools and he replied that the EXIF f-stop data field would not accept a value of less than 1.0 Perhaps one of you with Noctilux 0.95 could check your files to verify this.
