michael180 Posted August 23, 2021 Share #1 Posted August 23, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’ve been using my Q2 for a couple of weeks now. The problem is that when I import an image into LR, or any other application, it drops from the 46mp full size to 25mp. What am I missing?
Advertisement Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Hi michael180, Take a look here File size?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robsonj Posted August 23, 2021 Share #2 Posted August 23, 2021 If you update/save the metadata, Lightroom will create lossless compressed dng’s, saving you a bunch of space with no iq loss, maybe it’s something like that? I do it manually routinely to recover hard drive space
AndrewDD Posted August 24, 2021 Share #3 Posted August 24, 2021 Sorry to be pendantic, when you say "46mp to 25mp", do you mean megapixels or megabytes? ie, the size of the file or the dimensions of the image. A Q2 raw file is more like 85 MB. If you do mean megapixels, have you been shooting in 35mm crop mode?

I fear that this is not be the answer, as when shooting DNG even in Crop-Mode all data is in Lightroom. Different when shooting JPG. But here its about DNG.
