Tuna the dark background and clothing brings out her face and with  the contrast between the wooden window frame  and brick wall  adds a 50-60 style . The reflection  on the window certinely helps here too. Nice work.

although i prefer black and white....i like the density and muted colors here

a scene at the very edge, calm without disturbing elements

inconspicuous and yet so worth seeing

that's just my wavelength, Tuna

There is so much to like in this photograph, the way your eye is drawn in to the person in the window and then to dwell on her presence and then there are the lovely colours in harmony.

Thank you so much for your very kind comments… 🙏🏻

Edward Hopper’s “Automat” girl turns her head...

Funny you should mention Hopper:

This was taken in Washington, DC minutes after I had left an extensive Hopper exhibition at the National Gallery (2007).

I must have still been under the influence… 😄

@tuna, This is a truly excellent image - it should be published and exhibited.

Congratulations on a very well seen ans captured image!

Thank you for your generous and flattering comments…

I would love for this to be exhibited on a gallery wall but for now hanging on a wall in my home will have to suffice…
