Ktsa5239 Posted July 22, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 22, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) So I was cleaning my lenses and thought there’s a fair bit of room at the mount end of the sigma 100-400 DG DN lens. So I tried to pop the panasonic 1.4x teleconverter on it, and it fits with no problems! I’m so excited!!! Wonder if it would actually work without hurting IQ or AF. Will try it tomorrow ! Advertisement Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 Hi Ktsa5239, Take a look here Panasonic 1.4x teleconverter with sigma lens? . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Boojay Posted July 22, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 22, 2021 (edited) It works fine, I remember being quite annoyed with myself after buying the sigma 1.4 when I already had the Panasonic. It's a while since I had either, and while I do remember AF was fine, can't remember whether it reported correctly to exif. Is one superior to the other optically?
Boojay Posted July 22, 2021 Share #4 Posted July 22, 2021 I didn't do any in depth testing, because I had already decided to sell my Pan 70-200 and 1.4. But, from the few images I took there was no noticeable difference.

I had the F4 version, when the Sigma 100-400 arrived, (already having the 55-135TL), I decided that was sufficient for (my) telephoto needs on CL/SL2. For me, the bigger issue is AF system used in L mount and I reverted to a Canon body for wildlife, for occasional use, adapting longer Canon glass using MC-21 on the SL2.
