Richard K Posted July 12, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 12, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Lots of theoretical wishful thinking based on the idea of more contributing pixels in the Monoqrom since they'll all respond to light intensity not just the ones that pass at site colour. But is that observed in the real world? You would think a test chart would show this. Ideas? Yes my ulterior motive is to justify a Q2 Monochrom companion to my Q2. Advertisement Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 Hi Richard K, Take a look here So...would a test chart show more resolution from Q2M than Q2?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Richard K Posted July 12, 2021 Author Share #2 Posted July 12, 2021 You didn’t think this through Richard. Since the test chart is likely B&W, you shouldn’t see a difference since all colours will be available at each pixel. Go back and have another coffee. Richard K Posted July 12, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted July 12, 2021 Right...OK, how about in a large print like I asked before? Will there be more observed detail?
jaapv Posted July 12, 2021 Share #4 Posted July 12, 2021 Yes you will. But more important than the amount of detail will be the acuity of the detail, which will be vastly better.
Richard K Posted July 12, 2021 Author Share #5 Posted July 12, 2021 Yes thank you. But can someone who has actually studied comparison prints confirm this?
