tommonego@gmail.com Posted July 6, 2021 Share #1  Posted July 6, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am afraid my CL has to make a visit to Leica NJ. I moved its bag and the camera had a large lens on it so it was in the bag with the lens down. The bag tipped over and since then I can't get an image on the LCD or the EVF, not even the menu. I replaced the battery which was low and still nothing. Any other suggestions? No outside damage to the camera, it may have fallen 4 inches. I have tried an adapted lens and CL lenses on it, interestingly I can't get an f stop reading with the CL lenses (top LCD is working).

TMorita Posted July 7, 2021 Share #3  Posted July 7, 2021 It sounds like the camera body can't communicate with the lens. Toshi
tommonego@gmail.com Posted July 7, 2021 Author Share #4  Posted July 7, 2021 Yesterday I took the lens off, put on a body cap, removed the battery getting ready to send the camera off to Leica NJ. Today I tried the camera again just to check, everything is working?? ?Went through a reset with no battery in it, menu seems to be where I left it? I am going away in a week, will definitely take along one of the M cameras. Questioning if I should send the camera in for a check out, CLA.

Toshi  The first lens I noticed this with was an M lens with a third party adapter. Checking the L lenses later I was gettting a similar result. Then it worked with the M lens and L lenses this morning after spending the night with no battery.
oldwino Posted July 7, 2021 Share #6  Posted July 7, 2021 I usually need a day (or two) to recover from an accident, too.  Glad to hear it’s working again.

Had it out today. Canada Lily CL 35 Summilux Welcome, dear visitor!
