Since I bought a Q2Monochrom , which I like a lot , I am a bit confused about auto iso.

Normally , with other brands, I set the the camera in auto iso, selecting a diafragma value and the camera adapts the iso in function of the limits you have set.

With the Q2M set to auto iso and a fixed shutterspeed  , the exposure seems be adapted only by changing the diafragma.

I just want the iso change , not the f value!

Am I missing something? Thanks for advice!

When you pick a specific speed and set the aperture to auto you are telling the camera it is OK to adjust the aperture.   It will do so until the aperture is fully open (or closed) and only then adjust the ISO if set to Auto.  Or do you not have the aperture set to auto?

I don't have a Q2MWith my Q if I want s specific speed and aperture I dial those values in. The camera will then adjust ISO for exposure when Auto ISO is selected.

On my Q2M, when I set aperture (on lens) and shutter speed manually, and have ISO set on Auto, the ISO value changes as the light changes.

You may want to check that your Auto ISO Setting is properly set, especially the value for maximum ISO. Auto ISO mode does not increase ISO if the maximum ISO has been reached.
