Can anyone with this lens kindly do me a favour? My copy, mounted to an SL2-S, emits a slight clicking sound when stopped down above 2.8 and pressing the camera shutter. You'll need to enable the electronic shutter on the camera to hear it (I require the use of the silent electronic shutter for some work and the sound the lens is making above 2.8 is akin to a heavily dampened mechanical shutter). I'm curious whether this is typical of the lens in general or whether I need to contact Sigma.

Hi,

This is due to the open aperture measurement (no working aperture), closing down to working aperture if shutter is pressed.

Thank you, Reiner. My 75 SL doesn't exhibit such behaviour. That's a shame as I really like this Sigma, but that click is likely to be audible enough to get me thrown off a film set.
