if I leave the battery in my SL2 closed, without using it for 3 or 4 days the battery drains
I have never had this with any other camera

Is it the same for you?

You mean draining entirely? Just how much did it seem to drain? I have left the camera untouched for a few days but haven’t noticed anything drastic like this though.. I may have lost a battery bar but that’s it..

have a look at the settings for wireless connection; there‘s one to „wake up“ the SL2(s), which means, the SL hat to watch and keep alive the connection.

Without this I didn‘t see battery drains with may SL2

It's #4 in "Leica FOTOS".

But I can't imagine it having any effect when the camera is turned off.

same !  normally when the camera is off the battery should stay full a very long time

I am trying again with a full battery and bluetooth off (but I cannot find a setting with wake up)

thanks to all

Based on experience with SL and SL2 (essentially since the cameras started shipping), I have left the batteries in the cameras for weeks - with the cameras switched off - without noticeable change in the charging level (likely some drop, but too little to be noticed). Would be interesting to know the reason for decharged batteries!

I have noticed too, that 1/3 was gone overnight, I have BT off and know why. I have started to take out the battery just the klick. when I will start the shoot I will push it back in.

I have noticed strange battery drain behavior with the battery grip. I had my longest day shoot with 4600 photos on one camera. The internal battery was going down quicker then the grip battery. It resulted in changing batteries all the time by taking off the grip.

Normal the battery in the grip should drain before using much on internal battery power..

My SL2 will drain the batteries down to nothing even with the camera turned off. So if I don’t plan on using the camera for a day or so I simply remove the battery. A bit of inconvenience…  (My batteries don’t drain down outside of the camera.)

Cirke,   I had a similar problem with a former S007 camera.  I sent it back to Leica with a good description of the issue and both batteries.  The result, one defective Leica battery and a board component.  Both battery and component replaced...no charge.   You might consider doing the same.  r/ Mark
