mashnost Posted August 13, 2006 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) A shot with the Leica C-Lux 1 while walking around St.Louis. I really like speed of the camera with almost no shutter lag. great for taking candids on the street.
Advertisement Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Hi mashnost, Take a look here Little Luxury. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted August 13, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 13, 2006 Rogelio - Welcome to the Forum. The C Lux 1 (FX01) is surprisingly good, and I like the tones, composition, depth and detail in this shot. Is the angle intentional, or do you suffer the same problem I do of frequently not holding the camera level?
leicamann Posted August 13, 2006 Share #3 Posted August 13, 2006 Welcom to the Forum and yes its a good candid shot...not sure aboyt the tilt though. thanks for sharing regards Lei Ka Mann
burkey Posted August 13, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 13, 2006 Rogelio - Welcome. The picture you posted has wonderful tones. The exposure looks right on. Did you cut your EV back like many of us CLUX users? (BTW, my CLUX is with the Leica folks in NJ. The over-exposure issue became a bit too much for me so I decided to let the techs give it a look over.) PLease post more of your work and again. welcome to the forum. robert_parker Posted August 14, 2006 Share #6 Posted August 14, 2006 Rogelio Welcome to the forum - really nice composition, which lends itself totally to black and white - I must try that with my C-Lux ! The C-Lux really does make a useful little street camera !! Look forward to seeing some more
mashnost Posted August 14, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted August 14, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for the comments. The tilt was even worse before I corrected. I didn't want to be so obvious with this shot so I took some shots of the waterfalls and used AE lock to take a photo of the man from waist level. I wanted it to be candid but he was also leering at me when I invaded his space so I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.
