My 2nd SL was like that newly purchased.  The store asked me to send it back in exchange for another new one which was done promptly.  They later postulated that it must be the electronics that failed.    Hopefully, yours is due to something else.

Is the top display showing? On my SL2 I've had start up failures which have been cleared by using a blower brush to clean (invisible!) dust from the SD slots.

If the whole thing is totally dead and the batteries are OK, then I'd try cleaning all contacts before sending it back... Bummer though. 😕

Thanks for the advice. Top display isn't showing and the batteries are OK, unfortunately. Will try cleaning the slots, let's see if it has some effect. But I'm already preparing myself mentally, that I will have to send it home 😞

How can I learn what the process looks like? I mean, sending the camera, etc. I reached out to support but they aren't responding after the initial reply from Ursula B.

Thank again.

Regards,

G

Where are you located?  If in the USA, call Monday their NJ service center (800) 222-0118 or (201) 995-0051.  If you are near a Leica Store, you could drop it off there and they would be responsible to send it back to their service center.  I did that when they replaced my M9-P sensor and gave the option of either having it sent back to the store or to my home.

Thanks for the info. I'm in Poland, so, will have to find options here nearby.

If you are within the EU you can request a return label from Leica and drop it off at a UPS service point.

I see. Will give it a try, thank you.

Leica support isn't responding, but I discovered a service center in Warsaw. So, will contact them first and ask what options I have.
