I decided that the optimum strap (for me anyway) for my Q2-Monochrom is the Artisan and Artist ACAM-E25R "easy slider" (so I can quickly slip from cross-body to front hanging).   I have the same strap on my Q2 in red.

Problem: Artisan and Artist seem to have discontinued that model, at least so some retailers are telling me.  Everywhere I've looked, in several countries including A&A's own Japan online shop, it's out of stock - except in beige which of course no self-respecting Q2-Monochrom owner could use 🙂   The only thing I've found is a German customised one which is over 2x the Japanese price.

The replacement seems to be ACAM-25 which has a clip system attached on each side of the camera - this is great if you want to move the strap between cameras, but pretty clumsy on the simple little Q2-Monochrom.

Does anyone have confirmation that the E25R has in fact been discontinued?  Or know a retailer in UK/Europe that has one in black?  Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately A&A decided to use a rather stiff nylon on the easy slider, making the quick adjustment not so smooth in my experience. The best alternative could be Peak Design. That being said, I chose the A&A silk cord just out of aesthetic concerns and left the PD slider on my EOS M6 II. My two cents.

Yes, the silk might be an alternative although I would lose the quick adjustment from shoulder-strap to chest-positioned.

And while I like many Peak Design things, their adjustable strap seems to have the same issue as the ACAM-25, with a fiddly extra connector blob which clanks around at each side of the camera. I like my strap just to connect to the rings in the simple way Leica intended.

Or you could buy the PD strap and try to sew a pair of rings on it. It’s doable, just saying.

OK, thanks, it looks as though there are a few in stock in Asian resellers (easier to find from the US eBay than here in the UK), but in general it does seem that the E25R has been deleted or "out of stock" at most European retailers, especially the black one.

The Artisan & Artist silk cords are the finest, nicest and smoothest camera straps I've ever encountered—as long as you are happy with one fixed length.

I don't, so I am using the Artisan & Artist Easy Slider straps. I have six of those by now, and planning to buy another. Yes, the nylon material is not cuddly ... but the length-adjustment feature just requires some hard-wearing heavy-duty material. And as I don't wear my cameras on naked skin, that's okay.
