andybarton Posted August 27, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 27, 2007 The ads (at the bottom) must be generated by a bot which reads the text and places an ad which is relevant. (One of my postings is a panorama, and there's an ad for panorama stitching software at the bottom.) So, now we need to find the "sexy" thread that Al was looking at
Overgaard Posted August 27, 2007 Share #4 Posted August 27, 2007 So, now we need to find the "sexy" thread that Al was looking at Perhaps "Summilux" could do it?
sdai Posted August 27, 2007 Share #5 Posted August 27, 2007 Actually, this may be related to the service provided by Google ... as Google records the surfing history of individual users and places a cookie on your computer, and the Leica forum uses Google's AdSense service so if you have ever searched keywords such as sexy or whatever, then Google's AdSense may pull up relevant ads and deliver it to your desktop. Beside this Leica forum, I also frequent a couple of classical music forums, handgun forums, etc. so there's a high frequency of musical instruments, handgun ads on my computer when I connect to sites using Google's Ad service. If you don't want this happen, always remember to sign out of Google when you surf.
