The only variation was with the 21 3.5 where infinity focus was slightly before the hard stop – perhaps normal for this particular lens, but still unwanted, so I got the 21 1.4.

It may be the E-mount versions that have more variation, or perhaps Voigtlander has tightened up the production line on the M lenses.

I got rid of my 50 Chron, too, despite having decided to keep it in another thread. I now have the 50 Lux Black Chrome, with which I'm very satisfied. Its color signature better matches my Voigtlander lenses, and the build quality and operational feel is next-level.

Not sure what my next CV lens will be. I wish Voigtlander made a 28 1.4 Nokton.

I may re-buy the CV 21 3.5 just to have a small, light option for travel when I don't want to take the 21 1.4.

They are coming out with an updated 28/2.
