3rd party Summilux TL lens hood

As I wrote earlier, my hood went kaput (the plastic latching mechanism detached from the aluminum hood).  I am going through Leica to see what they say, but in the meantime how would I get a third party hood?  Not sure even where to look what specifications etc.

OK, so am I correct in thinking any 67mm hood will "fit" on TL 35?

OK, so thanks to BH I figured this one out.  One buys a 60 to 62mm "step up ring" and then any 62mm lens hood is fair game.

Just glue it back. It is easy. Leica will do the same for free

It might be, but the fact of the matter is the "stock" hood turns that lens into a beast.  The author of https://kleinbildkamera.blog/ had the step up ring third party hood solution in his review of the 'Lux.  It's a great blog although for me appreciate via google translate.

The same thing just happened to me today, and it’s the first time have ever bothered to bring the hood out with me. Didn’t even make it out of the bag. Annoying.

I always used the TL 35 with its hood. It was permanently in place. And never failed me since my Leica store glue back together the plastic part to the metal one. 
I guess that it just hates being twisted twice everyday. 
 

TL 35 is not that big with the hood on. It barely makes any difference in practice.

@nicci78 are we talking about the same lens and hood?! It’s massive!

Of course it is the same. It’s all in our head. 
It’s not that big. Every is relative  
Bigger than M lenses. But nothing is as small as them. 
Smaller than SL lenses. But nothing is bigger than them 😉 

 

TL 35 or TL 60 with hood is manageable and not that big. Nobody complains about it. 
However they complained about huge SL + SL zooms. 
 

Sole issue : the weight of TL 35. TL 60 is longer but lighter and more pleasurable to hold.

I just got around to taking my broken 35 TL lens hood into the re-opened Leica store Mayfair and the manager, a gent called Jakub, gave me a brand new one no questions asked, even though my warranty was expired. Fair play to him!
